User Experience Design or UX Design for short, encompasses all touch points a person can have with a company; visually, physically, digitally, emotionally, and so on. It's a point of view that empathises with the end user, the reason the product exists in the first place.

"Life's too short for bad experiences" - Everyone
User Experience design is an unusual career to pursue. No one grows up saying, "I want to be a UX Designer", That included me.
I may not have said that at 8 years of age, mostly because I didn't know it had a name, but I knew that the notion of making something that just made sense and made you feel good existed. I got this feeling a lot from exploring architecture and industrial design, which lead me to studying both disciplines at university.
UX has always existed but it is at its most interesting point in history with companies like, Apple, Google and Tesla leading the charge, laying down the blueprints for how people can interact with each other and the environment around them. Their success is owed a lot to the practice of good user experience.
This forward thinking and challenging of the norm is what drew me to UX as a career. It sits at the collision point of technology, science, psychology, social science, trends, art and design. A very rewarding place to be situated.
Part of the joy of being a professional UX Designer is that everyday I get to challenge my understanding of the world around me and beyond. I get to call on my soft skills, creativity and diverse background in design (architecture, fashion, industrial, graphic, game design) to solve problems, to generate happiness, to educate, inform and empower people.
The most memorable moments I've had as a UX Designer is when by simply doing my job I have positively changed the life of a person. That feedback I get from those users justifies all the hard work.
